Ever wondered if you could purchase anything decent for under a pound in the UK? Do you think that we are rip off Britain,  well PUN have sent two researchers of around the world to see what they can buy for 80 Pence, there's nothing quite like playing FTSE underneath the table.

DESTINATION; BANGALORE.

Bangalore is also known as Bengaluru.  It is a very popular city and has many visitors both for business and pleasure.

This part of India has a +5.30 time difference to that of the UK making it a little difficult to calculate the time without changing your watch.  I am told that if you turn your watch upside down then you will have the exact time in India.

The weather here is lovely and the temperature is very hot with lovely blue skies.  Bangalore is highly populated, and the mix of rich and poor is visible, and your stay here can be as expensive or cheap as you want it to be.

There is a warm welcome and India is definitely worth exploring in terms of history and culture.  Interestingly many people come to India for a retreat and to find a place to be still.

So what did my 80 pence buy me?  I rode a distance of 7 kilometres’ in a tuktuk – a very novel way to get around the city!   For the most adventurous of the group we were able to eat at one of the local cafes – a filling meal of Dahl, bread and Masala curry.
