So from a hectic weekend to a mundane Monday at work, where I’m sure that my boss is spying on me, he knows exactly when I’m on face book or twitter… The twit… He knows my every move, I thought that I was going to have to put in a sexual harassment complaint against him, the other day when I came out of the ladies, he said that he was glad I’d gone with the pink ones…. Now I was actually wearing pink underwear that day, so obviously his statement startled me and I told him so, only to find out to my horror that he meant the pink coloured fliers for our marketing campaign… Whoops… I suppose he’s not quite the Home Secretary, Theresa May, who intends to include legislation in next months Queens speech, which will allow law enforcement agencies to spy on “we” the people using face book, twitter and any other on-line social network website. MI5 and the Governments eavesdropping centre, will have the right to listen in to our conversations… Surely they do this already? Are we to believe that this is a new idea? Well it won’t stop me searching for the truth…. I thought that I was eavesdropping on a raunchy conversation by my boss only to find out he’d nipped out for lunch and had left the radio on in his office with the door closed….. I’m not nosey…. I just need to know what’s going on.

It’s only Tuesday and already a 15 year old boy has been convicted and sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison for killing his Mother…. What is going on in the World? Whatever happened to just sulking in your bedroom?
My son came home from school and told me that he wants to take sandwiches for his school dinner, due to the fact that the powers that be have announced there will be smaller portions for pupils, don’t they realise they can’t come between my son and his food…. Is this right considering it might be the only hot meal some youngsters have all day? Possibly the first meal if not the only meal all day for some. Why is this allowed to happen we ask ourselves? Well it doesn’t take much working out I suppose… Money, cut backs and it’s always the innocent that suffer…. Free school dinners have escalated from 43,000 to an estimated 1,055,000 in 2010-2011, but surely this is due to job cuts why the numbers have increased! This just goes to show that there sometimes is a price to pay for things that are supposedly free. I used to think that when it said “Free House” on the side of a pub that food and drinks were free, it was only when the police were called that I realised this was not so… False advertising that’s what I say.

Times are tough and the family are getting a bit tetchy so I decided to cheer them up by saying I would treat them all to a trip to France for the Easter weekend, everyone got excited, spirits were lifted until we realised that the flight was cancelled due to the French air traffic controllers strike which is in protest against plans to cut jobs, I was consoled by the family and thanked for being so thoughtful…. Is it wrong of me, due to hearing about the strike I hadn’t really booked anything I just didn’t tell the family this, it was my way of inadvertently giving them a moral boost. So now we are going to Skegness for the day, where I hear that the sea is the colour of very weak cold coffee…. Not quite the Cote d’Azure.
Thursday 5th April 2012
We had a works do to celebrate the Easter period which got totally out of hand it went beyond people canoodling by the photocopier, people were literally fighting over one another until eventually the police had to be called, which in fairness things very quickly got sorted out, they were obviously the good guys, unlike the ones that are under investigation due to allegations of racial abuse, bullying and violence which has involved at least 20 officers. The Met has noted 10 cases to the police watchdog on the back of the recording of an officer calling a 21 year old black man the “N” word as he was being arrested after last summer’s riots. Will this be something that will ever change within the force? Are we still living in the days of “The Sweeny”? How will the Met make sure that last summer’s incident doesn’t happen again? Anyway I’ve made my one phone call, it’s down to someone at the speaking clock to come and bail me out. I could be in for some time.

It seems that things are getting worse at every turn, do we want to hear the truth or are we happy to bury our heads in the sand, the powers that be want to spy on us or are the doing this already? Will we just lie down and let them enforce this? Do we feel that they are helping us to get out of certain situations, well if they won’t help us let us help one another, let us bring back the human element of ourselves, it’s so easy to be selfish, let’s reach out and help our fellow man if we start it in our communities, then the world is our oyster.
