About Pop Up Nottingham

Historically, Nottingham was steeped in creative heritage, from textiles to writers to musicians. Complimenting our rich history, is a backdrop of political and social reform in which Nottingham has been pivotal. Pop Up Nottingham, aims to build on our history, and kick start a creative future.

Pop Up Nottingham is a creative network that allows individuals to thrive, grow, and look beyond the cities borders. We are an effervescent team of individuals that encompass a wide range of business expertise, and have actively worked in the creative industries. We also work alongside a number of industry insiders, and educational institutions that add value to our service.

Our collective aim is to showcase the work of Nottingham based creative individuals, and to ensure that they have all the tools they need to excel. We welcome musicians, artists, crafters, writers, photographers, filmmakers, foodies and fashion designers, with more to come.

Pop Up Nottingham has been established around 3 key areas of activity, and these are:

Online Resource: www.popupnottingham.co.uk is a specialist online resource offering business support and advice, industry insider interviews, blogs, diary, work placements and job vacancies, alongside a shop facility from which subscribers can sell their work.

Offline Resource: Pop Up Nottingham provides regular networking events for subscribers to meet with artists from a range of disciplines. We also provide one off unique Pop Up Events that provide an opportunity to showcase subscribers work in a live environment.

Collaboration: Fundamental to our philosophy is that artists work together and cultivate ideas. Whether that is through a collaborative project, joining forces and hiring a studio space, or recommending suppliers – we have plenty of suggestions.

Pop Up Nottingham is about embracing originality, innovation and adventure, so if you have any ideas about ways that we can improve our services please do not hesitate to get in touch.
